Brock Hughes Medical Center is happy to welcome Andrea Crigger, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC to our staff as nurse practitioner, under the direction of Medical Director John M. Harkless, DO.
Andrea is a graduate of WCC with her associate’s degree in nursing. While working as a first assistant in the operating room, she completed her bachelor’s at Bluefield University. With much encouragement from surgeons she worked with, she decided to pursue her master’s degree and graduated with honors from Walden University in 2017. She has nursing experience in the operating room, emergency department, orthopedics, long term care, and nursing leadership. "I feel that access to healthcare is necessary and should be considered a right for everyone regardless of their background, resources, or life choices. We all deserve a chance to live our life to the fullest."
Andrea is a native of Tazewell and graduated from Tazewell High School. She relocated to Wythe County in 1997 and has called it home ever since. She resides in Fort Chiswell with her husband of 21 years Rob. She has 3 sons, 3 granddaughters, and a grandson on the way. Andrea enjoys spending time with her 5 dogs, ball python, chickens, and turkeys, hunting, going on cruises, and serving as a medical volunteer for Ft. Chiswell's football team.
