Background & Experience
Andrea began her nursing career after earning her associate’s degree from Wytheville Community College. While working as a first assistant in the operating room, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Bluefield University. Encouraged by the surgeons she worked alongside, she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing and graduated with honors from Walden University in 2017.
Her diverse clinical background includes experience in the operating room, emergency department, orthopedics, long-term care, and nursing leadership. Andrea is passionate about healthcare equity and believes that access to quality care is essential for everyone, regardless of background or circumstances. As she shares, “I feel that access to healthcare is necessary and should be considered a right for everyone regardless of their background, resources, or life choices. We all deserve a chance to live our life to the fullest.”

Personal Touch
Andrea is a native of Tazewell and a graduate of Tazewell High School. She has called Wythe County home since 1997 and currently resides in Fort Chiswell with her husband of 22 years, Rob. She is a proud mother of three sons and grandmother to three granddaughters and one grandson.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and her animals, including 4 dogs, a ball python, chickens, and turkeys. She also enjoys hunting and going on cruises.
