John M. Harkless, DO

Medical Director

John M. Harkless, DO, has been Medical Director for BHMC since February 2021. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Vertebrate Physiology, with a minor in Psychology and Neuroscience, from Penn State University in 2001 and his DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in 2006. He completed his residency in 2009 and has been owner and physician of Family Healthcare of Wytheville since 2009. He opened his aesthetic care practice in 2015. He also serves as professor with Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Harkless is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment.
