Professional Summary:
Keri Sword, PharmD, CDCES, is a clinical pharmacist with extensive experience across multiple specialties. She joined the BHMC team in October 2021. She provides comprehensive pharmacy and patient care services, including medication dispensing, management and reconciliation, nutrition counseling, chronic care management, glucose monitoring, and health education. Under her leadership, the clinic earned accreditation as an ADCES Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP). Keri works collaboratively with Nurse Practitioner Andrea Crigger to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and to advance quality care initiatives.
Background & Experience
Keri previously worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Johnson City Medical Center, where she specialized in cardiac care and kidney/pancreas transplants. She also served at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, focusing on trauma, acute care of the elderly, pediatrics, and palliative care. Prior to joining BHMC, she worked at Twin County Regional Hospital, specializing in antimicrobial stewardship and patient safety.
