Denise Dunford, CPhT
Practice Manager
Denise Dunford began working at the Brock Hughes Free Clinic, Inc. in June of 2008 when the clinic first received funding to be open as a full-time clinic. Denise holds an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Wytheville Community College and is a licensed pharmacy technician. Prior to coming to the clinic, Denise had worked in several management positions in the service industry, as well as for H&R Block.
While at the clinic, Denise has seen many changes and been in several different roles, including Medical Receptionist, Clinic Coordinator, Medication Assistance Coordinator and most recently, Practice Manager. Beginning in 2013, she assisted the Executive Director with all of the renovations to the current building, was involved in the implementation of the clinic’s first electronic health/medical records system, assisted in the renaming of the clinic to it’s dba of Brock Hughes Medical Center, helped with the transition from a “free” to a “hybrid” clinic in 2019, and in 2022 assisted the Executive Director with the capital improvement project to the exterior of the building. Denise said “the clinic has come a long way!”
Denise enjoys spending with her family. She especially enjoys watching her sons play sports. Denise actively attends Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church.
